It’s birthday time again! And the theme this year is Harry Potter. Charles loves owls, so I found these owl crafts online and put my own spin on these creative creatures for the birthday craft. They were a huge hit! Every kid wanted to make their own and proudly left them in the window to dry.

Busy Little Creators
I am not going to lie….the prep work on these adorable creatures was intense. I cut felt for roughly 8 hours total! Whew. Enough for 30 owls (felt feathers, eyes, ears, beaks, breasts, and toupees). Then I hit the crafts store and bought sequins, buttons, feathers, ribbons, bows, glitter, and even glow in the dark googly eyes. I cut the bottom of each styrofoam ball and glued a coin to keep the decorated owl upright (otherwise the weight of the glue and trimmings made the poor owl do endless, circular summersaults).
The end results were as individual as each child. Quite the success!

This is my dream birthday party. Well done.
Muggle Quidditch was the highlight of this Harry Potter birthday party. Check it out!
Check out these adorable sugar cookies that are in the shape of an owl face. They are a HOOT!
